About Us
We met in a Mom’s group and bonded over baby carriers. Now we’re making them together! And just about anything else we can dream up. We’re dedicated to cloth diapering, babywearing, and natural family living, and strive to help like-minded parents do the same. We founded Katara in 2008 as an outlet for our creations.
Katt is Mom to one little boy, and Cara is Mom to two boys and a girl. We sew together while the kids play. Our mothers taught us to sew as little girls (mostly to keep us from getting underfoot!) and combined, we have about 60 years experience.
Our non-smoking, pet-friendly “workshop” began in Cara’s dining room and expanded to take over the living room. Last year Cara and her family moved and we were forced to relocate the “workshop” to the guest room, but that hasn’t slowed us down one bit. We strive to create quality, one-of-a-kind items that we know you’ll enjoy for many years.
10% of each sale goes to Wrap Them In Love, a 501c(3) charity which donates quilts to children in need to world over. Check them out!
